Kah Nee Tah Vacation
Last weekend we joined Matt's brother Brandon along with wife Melissa and daughter Lilly, on a getaway to the Kah Nee Tah Indian Reservation and Resort. We shared and room and enjoyed swimming and just spending time together. Nicholas and Lilly had fun chasing each other and playing, and Matt and Brandon got to watch football together.
An extra special memory we also made was dinner at the Chinook Room, at the Lodge. There I had the dinner I ate every time my Dad and I came to Kah Nee Tah growing up, Bird baked in clay. It is a Cornish Game hen stuffed with wild rice and then encased in a mixture of flour, water, and salt. They then throw it in the fire to cook for three hours! When they bring it to you, they give you a wooden mallet to break open the "clay" and get the food. It was even better tasting then I remember and fun to share this experience with my family now!
