We had a great Valentine's Day this year with lots of activities. I started out the day with paper hearts all over the breakfast table and gifts for Matt and Nicholas. Matt got Dove chocolate hearts and a home made card from Nicholas and I while Nicholas got a goodie bag of books, a toy boat, a cow bell, and a pin wheel. We had french toasted shaped like hearts for breakfast too. After a nap and fun playing with the new toys, we had lunch of grilled cheese sandwiches cut in the shape of hearts and my very special Red Velvet cup cakes. Then we headed over to the Portland Children's Museum. Nicholas loved the Bob the Builder exhibit and played for over an hour. After fun at the museum, we headed over to Bridgeport Village and window shopped till our table was ready at Claim Jumper for dinner, (thanks again Josh and Joanne for the gift card!) We had a yummy dinner all together as a family. Then on the way home Matt surprised me with a dozen red roses! It was a wonderful and fun Valentine's Day, my favorite holiday!

Turkey Day 2008
This year was Nicholas' 1st real Turkey Day being able to eat dinner with us. He loved being around all the family at Aunt Angel and Uncle Tom's house, eating the yummy Turkey, and singing Great Grandpa's fun Thanksgiving songs! ("Who will get the drumstick, yummy, yummy, yum stick")
After the great afternoon, he took a nice long nap! Matt and I have so much to be Thankful for, wonderful family, great friends, and our health. But most of all we are thankful for our wonderful son and The God of All for His guidance in raising him.

Count down to Nick's Birthday!
We are quickly approaching Nicholas' 1st Birthday and I am very excited! I love planning his party and can't wait for him to enjoy it. We are holding the party at a cool new park in Vancouver, called Pacific Community Park. We are BBQing hot dogs, pot lucking side dishes, and I am decorating my first ever cake! It a Curious George themed party and I found lots of really cool party decor at the party store. I think I am most excited about his presents, (I guess the kid in me will forever live on in him!) And I am also very excite to take him to Build a Bear to make his special 1st birthday bear!

Mother's Day
I had a wonderful !st Mother's Day! It started with Matt bringing me my favorite coffee drink from Starbucks and making me breakfast! I then got a great card and new jewelry box from Matt and Nicholas! I also got beautiful flowers in a gorgeous tea pot from my Mom in Virginia. Then that evening Matt along with his brothers, Brandon and Jacob, put on a Tea party for all us Mom's in the family. It was awsome. I have to say we are truly blessed in the Zarzana family with wonderful husbands and sons!
